As a veterinarian, I worked alongside Ilse for almost a year. Of course I was interested in all things Fear Free before I met her, but having that hands-on real-time adjustments to my technique and timing was vital. I'm extremely proud that, together, we were able to help some pets that really hadn't had full access to veterinary care previously, simply due to the level of fear they experienced at the vets.
There is also an enormous sense of achievement and a genuine morale-boost when you can help these dogs out.
It's been frankly life-changing for me, and I can think of at least 2 dogs who are likely still with us because of these techniques- both of these dogs had diagnosed issues but were deemed untreatable due to temperament.
